I'm going to be doing a weekly photo challenge this year. It's a project that's going to keep me photographing all year long, to help me think creatively, and to help sharpen my skills and understanding of photography concepts.

The theme this week (ending Jan 9th, 2016) is "New/Cold". I woke up on Saturday to a beautiful frosty morning. I thought to myself that this would be the perfect opportunity to go out and take photos. So I did. I visited my parents' house that morning and in their garden, the frost clung to every branch. It was beautiful. I could've taken a scenic photo, but I decided to focus on the small things and keep the photo simple.

To me, this photo does convey the coldness of winter and to an extent, 'newness'. What more can I say? Frost only exists in cold weather. And the frost was only there in the morning of that day and quickly melted before noon.
