2016 Weekly Challenge #3: Macro

Here's a photo I took in October of 2015. I never got around to editing it so here's my chance! This is a photo of an orchid. One of my favourite types of photos to capture is actually macro/close-up. It brings out the details of small objects and essentially 'everyday' objects that we never really stop to take a second look at...sometimes.
I was striving for symmetry in this one and bringing out the colour of the orchid. What I would do better next time for macro/close-up shots is to try focus-stacking to get all the details into focus. Nonetheless, I quite like this shot due to the symmetry and colour.
